We started out on the water at 14:30 yesterday on the BC Luna. This is the Porsche of whale-watching boats very smooth and comfortable! We saw some harbour porpoises in Juan de Fuca Strait east of Race Rocks. We then headed over to San Juan Island and found the L22 matriline of L pod’s southern resident killer whales. Spirit / L22 and Skana / L79 were traveling close together with Solstice / L89 ahead off East Point, False Bay.We saw lots of surface activity including spy hops, tail and pectoral fin slaps, full body breaches and lunges.
